Michal Zoller, based in Bratislava, is an artist and researcher moving somewhere between fields of visual arts, performance, dance, music, linguistics and cultural and media studies.
He finished PhD. in Slovak language at Department of Slovak Language and Theory of Communication at Comenius University in Bratislava and Master's in Intermedia at Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava.
For the past few years, his focus in art has been on performance in various forms, mainly with dance, music or material/object. He usually deals with themes of individual or collective well-being, questioning certain cultural paradigms and breaking down notions of "normality".
His dissertation dealt with the research of multimodal meaning-making in contemporary social media, reflecting current communication trends and their impact on the process of interpretation.
